Funding Application for Mission Endowment FundSaint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church – ELCA4843 Southport-Supply RoadSouthport, North Carolina910-457-5604Being Acts 1:8 Christians In Acts 1:8, just prior to His ascension into Heaven, Jesus gave his disciples (and us) His last commandment; “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Jesus is commanding each of us to be His witnesses where we are – in our city (our “Jerusalem”), in our state, the country, and all the countries of the world. So, an “Acts 1:8 Christian” is actively engaged in fulfilling the Great Commission. However, when we are not personally able to go to the mission fields, we can still be Acts 1:8 Christians by financially supporting those, who are called, through our participation in the Saint Peter Mission Endowment Fund. GUIDELINESThe Saint Peter Mission Endowment Fund Committee receives applications from individuals and groups in the congregation, and recommends the disbursement of funds, subject to oversight and approval of the Church Council. Grants will be given to Local, National, and International organizations.Applications for grants are due by September 19, 2021 using this form.
