Following the successful Dementia Caregiver Workshop on February 17, 2023, meetings have continue on the third Wednesday of each month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to provide support for caregivers in the area. These get-togethers have been a wonderful resource in terms of offering an opportunity to socialize and encourage each other.
The caregivers who have attended these support meetings tell us that they return home a bit more energized, and are helped by the knowledge that they can reach out to someone, especially on difficult days.
This event is open to the community, and in fact is attended mostly by non-members of Saint Peter Lutheran Church. We’re pleased to be of service to our neighbors, and count these meetings a true success story. If you’d like to learn more, contact a parish nurse.
